In the spring of 1985, Timothy (Tim) Ward Michael assumed the pivotal role of dealer principal at Capital Ford, Inc. in Raleigh, NC. With unwavering dedication and a commitment to excellence, Tim quickly propelled Capital Ford into recognition as a premier entity within the Ford Motor Company's family of dealerships. Capital Ford, Inc. became the flagship store for Capital Automotive Group, a conglomerate encompassing 13 brands, spanning 28 franchises across 17 different cities from the west to the east in North and South Carolina.

Fast forward to today, and Capital Ford of Raleigh proudly stands as the number one retail sales volume dealership in the Carolinas, a title consistently bestowed by the North Carolina Dealer Association. It's important to note that our achievement goes beyond the realm of brand specificity, standing strong against competitors regardless of the badge on the vehicle.

We believe in the power of community engagement. In 2023, we proudly earned the title of the number one Corporate Sponsor for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in North Carolina. Our commitment extends to the future as we invest in institutions like Wake Technical Community College and NASCAR Technical Institute, donating nearly $1 Million in the last 5 years to support aspiring technicians.
